      Degree in Business and Economics at the University of St. Gallen and a doctorate on generation change in small and medium‐sized enterprises. (Dr. oec. HSG).
    • 1994
      At the time of the real‐estate crisis: Restoration and restructuring of a company in the development and real‐estate sector. Subsequently, acquisition of the majority of the shares.
    • 1998
      Joining the then Hydrel AG engineering works company (subsequently: Schaeffler Switzerland), in Romanshorn. Managing Director from 1999 to 2001. Schaeffler is a globally active automotive and industrial supplier.
    • 2002
      Acquisition of the majority of the shares in Feinstanz AG in Rapperswil‐Jona; management of the supply company in the automotive and industrial sector. Part‐time executive courses in Switzerland and in the USA (MBA).
    • 2010
      Publication of the book entitled “Überleben ist nicht genug” – Tagebuch eines Schweizer Unternehmers 2008/2009 (“Survival is Not Enough” ‐ the diary of a Swiss entrepreneur 2008/2009), Xanthippe Verlag.
    • 2011
      Sale of Feinstanz AG to the Federtechnik Group in Kaltbrunn.
